The new PRAD!
Since I have taken over presidency for the Public Relations and Advertising Club (aka PRAD) at Pittsburg State University, my officers and I have worked on refreshing the club and creating ways to increase membership for the 2010-2011 school year.
So far, we have created a new logo. Between the officers, everyone submitted new logo designs. Out of those designs, I asked my officers to select three that they liked. From the logos that were chosen the most, we voted again for the final logo. From the original logo, which was created by me, the officers and I came together and combined our ideas to create an even better logo that stood out more. The original and final logo you can see below.
After designing the new logo, I ordered pens with our new look on them. I ordered the pens from www.rushimprint.com, who I highly suggest. They were quick to help me and if I had a question they answered it fully and within minutes. I will gladly go back to them in the future! The pens that we ordered look like the following pen below, except we ended up having to order red because black was out of stock.
During the month of June, Pittsburg State University puts on an event called PITT C.A.R.E.S. This event is held for the incoming freshmen that have already enrolled in PSU. Throughout the day, the “freshies” are given advice on how to adapt to the new life that they will soon be living. This is a great opportunity for organizations like PRAD to leave an impression on the students and try to gain new members. PRAD will be there every Monday and Friday from 2-4pm in the Overman Student Center. Come by and see us!
This brochure is something I designed to hand out to the freshmen along with the pens. The officers and I decided to do something that would really attract the eyes of the freshmen. I feel that we succeeded! In the first day of PITT C.A.R.E.S. we had eight freshmen sign up that are interested in becoming members for the 2010-2011!
